Ol Pejeta Conservancy – Nanyuki Laikipia The Ol Pejeta Conservancy is a 364 km2 wildlife conservancy located between the foothills of Mount Kenya and the Aberdares. Enjoy a diversity of wildlife species and unforgettable African Safari Holiday experiences. As you step out of your safari tent, you will be able to see Mt. Kenya’s peak, as well as the conservancy’s stunning slopes and sceneries.
You will be picked up in the morning from your Nairobi hotel or at the JKIA by our driver guide. He will brief you about your safari. Thereafter depart for Olpejeta Conservancy. Arrival will be in time for lunch at your lodge/camp. You will check in and enjoy your hot sumptuous lunch before embarking on an afternoon game drive in the conservancy. Olpejeta Conservancy is internationally recognised as it is home to the last northern white rhino and the chimpanzee. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge or camp
After having an early morning breakfast, carrying along your packed picnic lunch, you will set out for a full day game drive in the conservancy. The early morning gives you an opportunity to see the great views of Mount Kenya which is the second highest mountain in Africa. You will enjoy the day in search of the big 5- elephants, rhinos, lions, buffalos and many more. Our driver guide will help you spot wildlife as you manoeuvre through the conservancy. You will return to your lodge/camp for dinner and overnight stay
On the 3rd day of your safari, you will depart for Lake Nakuru National Park right after your breakfast. The park has a wide ecological diversity and different habitats. Ideal for bird watching. Arrival will be in time for lunch. After lunch, you will leave the lodge or camp for an afternoon game drive. You will have the chance to see the plenty birds and animals in the park, visit the lake and watch the greater and lesser flamingos among other birds feeding on the algae found in the lake who make the lake look like a pink stretch because of their colour. Dinner and overnight stay at Flamingo Hill Tented Camp/Sarova Lionhill/ Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge.
You will be woken up early for your breakfast. After breakfast you will depart for the renowned reserve, the Masai Mara National Reserve. Enjoy a game drive enroute to your lodge or camp. You will encounter a large number of different animals. Arrive for lunch and checking in. The afternoon is set for an afternoon game drive in the reserve. This time is considered best because the weather will have cooled off and you will be able to spot the predators hunting actively.
With an early morning game drive, you will hear the birds chirping as they sing melodiously to welcome the new day. You will have your breakfast before departing for a full day game drive. You will see the nocturnal and diurnal animals as they go in and out of their hiding areas. The mesmerizing sun rise will be perfect for photography. With the ample time you will have an opportunity to spot the big 5 animals and other animals including the elephants, giraffes, lions, elusive cheetah, zebras, wildebeests, buffalos. You will visit the Mara river to see hippos and crocodiles as they bask by the river banks. Your lunch will be served here as you enjoy the views. If your visit falls in between the month of July –early October, you will witness the great migration of the wildebeest .Dinner and overnight stay at Mara Sopa Lodge/Zebra Plains/Basecamp Mara/Mara Leisure.
As the last day of your safari, you will wake up for an early morning game drive which will be your last game drive. Return to the lodge for breakfast and freshening up. Afterwards, you will load your luggage into the van and depart for Nairobi arriving in the late afternoon. Our driver will drop you off at your hotel or at the airport.
